Brands and websites that speak directly into your dream clients’ souls
Feel like you’ve been searching for-ev-er for the person who’s going to bring your vision to life? Make it so good you didn’t even know your brand could look like that? Maybe even bring a tear to your eye? Hell yeah, weirdos. I’m here for it.
If you’ve ever had someone question your business
And ask things like “Really?” “Why are you doing it that way?” or my absolute favorite: “Are you sure?” You are 100% not alone (and also, ew).
You can imagine the head tilts when I told people I was going with “Kinda Weird Creative Studio,” but that didn’t stop me. I live by the phrase “Be kind; stay weird,” so why wouldn’t I make it the heart of my business? It’s who I am.
I know what it’s like to start from scratch.
The blood, sweat, and tears (omg, so many tears). The hours and hours and hours of work. The “WTF am I even doing?” and not being able to sleep because there are 1,000 ideas swirling around. Been there, done that, which is why I’m so passionate about helping you remain as authentic as possible, because you and your business are cool AF!
Teacher. Writer. Creative.
For ten years as a high school English teacher, my students loved the phrase, “I know what I want to say, but I don’t know how to say it!” And my response would always be: “I can’t write it for you!”
But as a copywriter, that’s quite literally my job.
My time in the classroom continually challenged me with new ways to be engaging, creative, and analytical—all with a lot of patience, and of course, a little humor.
I mean, if I can sell teenagers on Of Mice and Men and The Crucible (two of my personal favs, but, ya know…kids), I can definitely sell your brand.
Adding web design and branding to the mix were the natural next steps, because in addition to helping you say what you want to say, I know how to take that idea in your head and make it real.
More about me, because I like to blab
I have one husband, zero children, and five four three pets.
My big mean scary pitbull (insert eye roll here) Ruby, has taken the role of Queen of the House, but before that, she answered to our black cat Salem, who crossed the rainbow bridge in October 2024.
My two male cats, Remi and Marlin, spend their time chasing absolutely nothing, playing with each other, and aggressively demanding food. We’re convinced they used to try to plot an eat-attack on our sugar glider, Hamlet, who spread his wings for the last time in July of 2025.
We started fostering animals in April of 2025, and have since helped three dogs and nine kittens find their fur-ever homes! Our current foster is a beautiful one-year-old male cat named Crackers, and he miiiight just be our first foster fail.
I have a BA in English with a minor in psych, and an MS in Secondary Education. My entire 10-year teaching career was in urban, Title I high schools, and my students were hands down the best part of the job. My time with them is what I miss most about teaching, but luckily, thanks so social media—which I hate most of the time—we’re able to keep in touch!
Leaving the profession was one of the scariest things I have ever done, but it was 100% necessary (big advocate for mental health over here). The transition from teacher to work-for-myself-er has been a wild ride, but so. much. fun.
